What will be your main responsibilities in the role?
- Develop, maintain, test, and release physical design kits and libraries using automated methods and tools.
- Provide support and training in the use of physical design kits, libraries, advanced design tools, and methods for a global customer base.
- Identify and document defects, enhancements, and other requests related to physical design kits
- Be an active team member who participates in cross functional teams that drive the development of new technology platforms.
- Collaborate with Technology Development, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering teams in the scoping and justification process for physical design kits, new devices or device enhancements, and physical design kit elements.
What are the requirements?
- Good understanding of circuit design and semiconductor physics.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of CAD tools for circuit design and layout.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of SPICE, behavioral, mixed-signal, and digital simulators.
- Basic understanding of software and library development tools and methods including regression testing, release, and revision control methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in one or more of the following programming or scripting languages: AMPLE, SKILL, C, C++, PERL, Python, JAVA, or TCL.
- Strong communication, problem solving, decision making, documentation, and team work skills.
